Hi, I'm Natalie, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I believe therapy should be a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of the emotions and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. My goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where you can be yourself while developing a deeper understanding of who you are, what you feel, and what you need.

My Approach

My approach is emotion-focused, trauma-informed, and relational. I believe our emotions and reactions
often make much more sense when we understand the experiences behind them. A major part of my
work involves helping clients identify emotional triggers, and make connections between present-day
reactions and earlier experiences, relationships, losses, or unmet needs.

Rather than teaching clients to suppress or "get rid of" difficult emotions, I help them learn how to safely
experience, understand, and move through them. We may explore grief, complex trauma, attachment
wounds, inner-child experiences, and patterns that developed as ways of coping or protecting yourself. I
also incorporate practical skills from DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based approaches so that deeper
emotional work is balanced with tools for managing everyday life.

My Focus

Anxiety, Stress, Emotional Regulation, Self-Esteem, Relationship Issues, Trauma, Substance Use &
Recovery, Life Transitions, Grief & Loss, Boundaries, healing from toxic relationships/trauma bonds,
Codependency/People-Pleasing, Coping Skills, Self-Compassion, Personal Growth, and Identity/Self-
Discovery.

My Communication
Style

My style is warm, genuine, curious, and collaborative. I want clients to feel emotionally safe and understood, but I also believe therapy can gently challenge us to look beneath our automatic reactions.

My Journey

My career has given me extensive experience working in both mental health and substance use treatment, including higher levels of care. Through this work, I have supported individuals navigating addiction and recovery, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions.

Over time, I became especially interested in understanding the deeper emotional experiences that often are under the symptoms we see on the surface. My work with trauma and substance use has reinforced the importance of helping clients recognize emotional triggers, understand how past experiences can influence present-day reactions, and process emotions that may have been avoided or suppressed for
years.

These experiences have shaped my approach as a therapist and my interest in emotion-focused work, complex trauma, grief, inner-child work, emotional flashbacks, and helping clients make meaningful connections between their past and present. I believe that understanding why we respond the way we do, while learning new skills for navigating those responses and can create lasting change.
