My Approach
I aim to use a Solution Focused based prescribed approach during the therapeutic relationship. I also find it quite useful to understand one's relationship with their childhood (attachment-based therapy), because this can be a key element with building healthy relationships. Additionally, understanding the link between one's thoughts, feelings, and behavior (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) is an important piece when facilitating successful changes, and creating more effective way of looking at things.
Why these two approaches in particular? Because they are both evidence based and easy to understand. The plan is to work together on mindfulness techniques, finding a healthy balance to life, and understanding what the mind body connection specifically means for you.
My Focus
Providing short-term relief while remaining focused on exploring long-term solutions that help consistently overcome challenges that one may face.
At one point or another, we all face some stress, anxiety, sadness and feelings of being misunderstood or overlooked. We will implement a process addressing these concerns to restore hope and happiness in a positive way.
My Communication
Style
I have been told that some of my strengths are my compassionate nature and my ability to be empathetic towards others.
I always look to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for clients while being open and honest.
In being client centric my approach is one where we review what is working or not together and make improvements to best help you.
My Journey
Since I was a young child, I have always been told I am a good listener and problem solver and I am here to guide you, problem solve and support you. In short, I am here to help you make changes to "live your best life." Oprah's words, not mine. My cultural background and my love for travel has exposed me to people all over the world and this is what helps me to connect with people like yourself.
