Hi, I’m Cristian Luna. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families move from pain and disconnection toward healing and growth. I provide therapy for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing challenges with emotional regulation, family conflict, and mental health concerns like anxiety and depression. I offer a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions.
My Approach
I use an integrative and client-centered approach that honors each individual’s story, culture, and strengths. My work is informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Systems Theory, and trauma-informed practices. I also draw from mindfulness-based techniques and developmentally appropriate interventions, especially when working with children and adolescents. Therapy is a collaborative process as I work alongside clients to identify goals and build insight, skills, and self-confidence.
My Focus
I work with children and teens who are dealing with emotional, behavior, or social struggles, as well as families who are having a hard time getting along, communicating, or going through changes like divorce. I also help people who feel anxious, sad, or have low self-esteem. I have experience working with neurodivergent clients, including those with Autism, and I use a mix of therapy and behavioral tools to support their emotional and social growth. My time working in a mental health inpatient center for kids and teens gave me a strong understanding of how to support people going through tough and complicated challenges.
My Communication
Style
Clients often describe me as calm, grounded, and engaging. I bring warmth and curiosity into the room, while also offering direct guidance when helpful. I adapt my communication style to meet each client’s needs whether that means offering a gentle space for reflection or structure and accountability for change. I aim to foster trust, safety, and a strong therapeutic alliance.
My Journey
My journey into therapy began with a desire to help others feel seen, supported, and empowered. My time working in an inpatient mental health center for children and adolescents exposed me to the deep impact of compassionate, intentional care. It inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist where I could walk alongside clients on their path toward healing and self-discovery. Today, I am committed to serving individuals and families with humility, empathy, and clinical integrity.
