Hi there, I’m Madeline! I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and connection. I strive to offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel comfortable exploring emotions, strengthening relationships, and developing tools that feel practical and meaningful to you.
In these uncertain and often overwhelming times, many people are carrying both personal pain and the weight of larger traumas and injustices in the world. Therapy can be a steady place to slow down, take a breath, and feel supported without judgment. I aim to provide a safe and compassionate space where you can bring your full self, move at your own pace, and feel genuinely cared for as you make sense of what you’re carrying.
My Approach
In therapy, I take an integrative, evidence based approach that is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients better understand emotions, patterns, and relationships.
For those seeking faith based support, I offer an integrated approach that thoughtfully aligns psychological principles with spiritual care. As a culturally sensitive clinician, I recognize the impact of identity, culture, and faith on mental health and strive to create an inclusive, affirming environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
My Focus
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression and anxiety, work-related chronic stress and burnout, relationship and family conflict, identity development and self-esteem, religious and spiritual concerns (including religious trauma), pre-marital and marriage counseling, media and technology overuse, life transitions, and secondary traumatic stress. In our work together, I aim to help identify the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck and support you in developing not only short-term relief, but meaningful, long-term change.
My Communication
Style
My communication style is warm, gentle, and grounded. I listen closely and work to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, and emotionally open. I respect each client’s pace and believe meaningful change happens when people feel supported, understood, and never rushed.
My Journey
My path toward becoming a therapist began during my undergraduate studies in fine art and religious studies, where I was surrounded by people from diverse backgrounds, belief systems, and life experiences. During that time, I noticed that others often felt comfortable opening up to me, sometimes even shortly after meeting.
Friends frequently shared that I felt like a safe person to talk to — someone who offered a calm, non judgmental presence and allowed them space to feel and express their emotions in their own way. Many entrusted me with thoughts and feelings they had never shared with anyone else. Being invited into those vulnerable moments felt deeply meaningful, and I felt a strong responsibility to honor that trust.
That experience inspired me to pursue formal clinical training so I could continue offering care, safety, and support with intention and skill. Today, I am honored to serve as a steady and compassionate presence for clients seeking understanding, healing, and deeper connection. I genuinely enjoy this work and consider it a privilege to walk alongside others in their therapeutic journey.
