Aging Concerns

We understand that aging can come with its own set of challenges and concerns. As seniors, we are at risk for depression and face physical and cognitive decline. Some common age related issues are the loss of a significant other, loneliness, the loss of income and employment and coping with an increased dependency on other's. Asking for help or even being told what to do by concerned family and friend's can lead to feelings of anxiety and frustration. Our therapists are trained to provide specialized, compassionate care for those dealing with issues related to growing older, whether it's you, your partner or a parent.
If you are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, or any other mental health concerns, we are here to help you navigate through these difficult times.

Acknowledging the Realities

  • In a world saturated with images of perpetual youth and vitality, it's essential to acknowledge the realities of aging. Despite the cultural emphasis on youthfulness, aging is a natural and inevitable part of the human experience.

  • However, societal pressures and age-related changes can trigger feelings of insecurity, anxiety, and even existential angst.

  • Reduced mobility, dealing with an age related illness and even issues of maintaining intimacy as we become older are all very real issues that we can help address and support you with.
